PDF password types (quick check)
“Unlock PDF” usually means one of these. Knowing which one you have helps you pick the right fix.

If your PDF opens but you can’t print, copy, or edit, it’s usually a permissions lock (owner password).

Do you crack unknown PDF passwords?+
No. We only unlock PDFs you own or have permission to modify. If a PDF requires an open password, you must provide the correct password.
Why does it say “Incorrect password”?+
Some PDFs have different password types (open vs permissions). If the file prompts on open, you need the open password. If it opens but blocks editing/printing, you may need the permissions (owner) password.
Is my file stored on your servers?+
For the MVP, files are processed for the request and deleted immediately after the response is sent.
Why did I get a warning but the file still downloads?+
Some PDFs have minor structural issues. The unlock can still succeed, but the resulting file may have quirks. If it fails to open, try re-saving the PDF in a viewer and unlocking again.
